Realizing your a starving student... but, you could always make a beowulf cluster... use that for the rendering... slap linux onto it... and find software to export from your machine to the cluster.

You certainly may come to the party. Check out the list of stuff people are bringing on the page about it in SG Canada West. Right now I think we'll have heaps of food, so unless you have something you're dying to bring, I'd suggest just bringing stuff for cocktails. We have no one bringing mix yet, so if you'd like to bring along a couple 2L bottles of sprite and some various juices and kinds of booze that aren't already covered, that would be great.
