that's right kittens.. i finally found "un chien andalou" on dvd
this has made me very fuckin' happy!
it came in a double pack box set with bunuel and dali's other collaboration "l'age d'or" which i have never seen.... so i am looking forward to that. gotta love them surrealist's
i spent a bit of a small fortune today on dvds (about 115
) most of which was on the lord of the rings extended box set (60 fuckin' quid )
i also got a copy of "best laid plans" and the directors cut of "donnie darko". i really hope that the directors cut hasn't made the story make sense (not seen it yet...) the thing i loved about donnie darko was (amongst my friends at least) not two people agreed about the true meaning of the film. everyone agreed to a certain point, but there was just 10% of the film that everyone seemed to go off on their own little tangents and no one seemed to have the same theory... i just loved the idea that a film could do that, quite rare these days in my books.
so... thanks to everyone who left well wishes for my recent visit to the hospital. i haven't had the results yet....friday i think. it meant a lot that people i have never met before could say such lovely things. again, thank you
now if you could all swing by milky's journal and give her some kisses and cuddles... poor girl had to go through the same thing as me. seriously... IVU's are just the worst and most horrible experience! go spread some love people
last week i gave a copy of my mix cd to the 333 (in shoreditch) and apparently they absolutely loved it and apparently (again!) they are going to book me sometime soon. i'm kinda in with the guy's there as i distribute their flyers.. so i'm kinda hoping that i can sweet talk them into a residency and if that goes to plan hopefully i can take over one of the floors once a month with broken house (kerrie, you'll be the first to know )
now everyone... cross those fingers
at least the 333 listened to the damn thing which is more than i can say for a certain festival i could mention.
"excuse me guy's... erm, i work for you..! what do you mean my cd's at the bottom of the pile...? erm..! it has been at the bottom of the pile for 2 fuckin' years..? but you know me..! i've worked for you for 6 years...???!!!!! " the gloves are of now....i am so gonna pester pester pester 
and if all else fails....i'm going to be extremely annoying!
