That's good you still maintain contact with your tattoo artist because it is hard to build a relationship with an artist and trust them with your body.
I was commenting also to Kemper that I had a bad experience with a tattoo artist leaving without a trace mid half sleeve. It was upsetting but I met someone who was able to finish it and actually improve it and now it looks pretty awesome for the most part but I have some minor touch ups still that need to be done and some more I want to add to it.
Thankfully the tattoo artist that finished it for me is probably not going anywhere, thank God, anytime soon. I found out later he is the co-owner of the shop I go to. He has done 2 other for me also that I Iove one being the words on my foot that say "Leave the past behind". I have a work in progress of a heart shaped speaker on my left side ribs that is pretty large that he is workin on. I am procrastinating because that area is very painful and it takes a lot of mind power for me to endure that spot for 3 hours or more per session. I can sit pretty well for a tattoo and have pretty good pain tolerance (I actually am a little of a masochist so I enjoy some pain but others can become almost unbearable...and after 3 hours of being stabbed in the ribs I can only take it so long I have to come back later for more).
I want to get another neo-geisha by this artist Audrey Kawasaki on my left hip. She just had a new show today with Japanese Mythology and Japanese Culture themed painitings and there are two new beautiful geisha in this collection. I cant wait for her to post the new images from this show so I can take the new geisha I want right to my tattoo artist. I was telling Kemper about her too because she painted an Octopus woman painting. I already have this other geisha "Oiran" that Audrey Kawasaki painted on my right hip/lower back/ upper butt area an it is one of my favorite..it has some minor touch ups that need to be done also but is already so beautiful. When I was going to get the last session done I got there and the guy who did it (different from the guy who did my arm) told me he had been beat up and robbed the day before and he had a broken collar bone so h worked on it some, even though I told him it was okay I could reschedule, for about an hour than he was in too much pain...his pain meds stopped working so I have to go back in for some additional shading and stuff but I love it already so much.
