The work in progress is going along smoothly. I figured out how to complete the painting so that it portrays the idea perfectly and then some. I'm constantly building on the idea, adding more symbolism and detail to the piece. If things keep up as they are progressing, I figure this'll be the longest time spent on a painting yet and also the most detail. I'm posting an updated version of the painting which I decided to name "The Truth about Beauty". If you haven't noticed yet, the painting has a strong buddhist theme to it considering I have an obsessive fascination with Buddhist philosophy. I'm going to be constantly submitting the progression of the piece and so, if you actually have an interest in this little project of mine, you may want to do a bit of research on the theme of it because I think that the deeper meaning of the painting will be somewhat useful in ordinary life.
My only wish in making these paintings is to give the viewer a revolution in their perception of life and overall, change their lives toward greater good.
None of my paintings have ever been available for sale, but are usually given to people whom I think that the deeper meanings could help. Course, they're never obvious.
I of course hold no objections to giving away prints as long as the creation costs are covered, for that you'd have to contact me personally. The only problem would be that the painting is already given, and so, I'd need permission from the now owner. In fact, the great majority of the paintings you see on this site are already given away, so be aware of that.

To end this journal entry, here's a lovely quote by Mahatma Gandhi

"I would like you to lay down the arms you have as being useless for saving you or humanity. You will invite Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini to take what they want of the countries you call your possessions.... If these gentlemen choose to occupy your homes, you will vacate them. If they do not give you free passage out, you will allow yourselves, man, woman, and child, to be slaughtered, but you will refuse to owe allegiance to them."

However, Gandhi was aware that this level of nonviolence required incredible faith and courage, which he realized not everyone possessed. He therefore advised that everyone need not keep to nonviolence, especially if it was used as a cover for cowardice:

"I do believe that where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence"
