If anyone is in the peninsula and is craving for some good italian food..i highly recommend BELLA MANGIATA.
the service was awesome...the owner/server and i had a nice laugh and convo together in broken italiani when i told him that every restaurant i walk into to eat..gets packed and busy.
so he says ..lets see...
the food tastes like what i had in italy ..even the way the food that was ordered came out the same...
started off with a very well balanced herb, lemonjuice and olive oil dip to go with bread...
anti pasti
asparagus wrapped in procuitto and melted mozzarella
zuppa digiorno
minestrone
primi
sauteed greens in garlic and olive oil
pasta..gnocci with prawns in a wine and tomato cream sauce
secondi
veal al a funghi in a velvety marsala sauce
dolci
canoli sicillian style
a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of hazelnut gelato
and to finish it all off ..
a nice espresso..
while dining, the owner noticed his dining room getting busier and busier. he did not expect a busy monday night so it was only himself and his busser working the floor....families kept coming in ..large groups would look in to the restaurant then come in to eat..people would walk in and order stuff to go ..he gives a shout to the kitchen and his brother finally comes out to help. HOLY SMOKES they had a solid dinner rush on a monday. The restaurant was getting close to reaching its capacity and the owner runs up to me and whispers ..please stay i need 10 more....
then brought us more food...
he finally got his full house ..we paid our bill the server opened the door for us and we walked to my car..
right when im about to open my door..i see the owner run out of his restaurant and up to me ..he gives me a hug and says..
Bello...grazie mille ..you are good luck..
..
i give him a wink and say..ill come in again next week and lets see what happens ..
ahh what a nice experience it was...
.im glad my 1 year anniversary with my girly suzanne went well
