Man laotian weddings are fun...my buddy from college maried his girl over the weekend...
every man who showed up to the reception was handed a full bottle of Martell XO Supreme Cognac ( about a good 100 bucks a bottle) ...
so you could only imagine all the food eating, the dancing and of course the drinkin.....im a friend of the family so of course if any one of his uncles saw me they give me a greeting in laotian ( sa bai dee) a hug and a shot of cognac from thier cup...and you offer them the same from your own bottle and cup
if the drink is turned down it is an act of disrespect. and they do not talk highly of you the next time around...
end of the night....my girlfriend had to drive the both of us back to the hotel..
suprisingly i have no hangover...
