had a great time tonight..a former classmate of mine from culinary school had her monthly dinner parties.
1/2 of the guests were all industry ..chefs...linecooks...bartenders..all with their significant others..so you could immagine all of the DOPE FOOD
another chef and myself manned the grill outside..( where all the beer was) while everyone else was tearing up the kitchen.
heres what was served
vegetarian sausage kebabs
grilled marinated skirt steak
grilled asparagus
wild pacific northwest salmon ( we hella smoked that one with apple wood)
chicken thighs
bratwurst sausage
tomato / basil / parmesano bruschetta
orzo pasta salad seasoned with fleur de sel and zinfandel vinegar with herbs fines
roasted vidalia onion and chive with creamcheese spread
crostinis
and marinated olives
everything made from scratch..i guess thats what happens when you put a bunch of cooks together to partay..
the eating went all night...everyone had finished my
vino blanco sangria.
..i walk into the kitchen and find a fresh out of the oven marbled chocolate pound cake resting on the counter..i was like whoooaaah ..its still nice and warm ...so i grab a knife and cut me a peice about an 2 inches thick...put in on a plate..poured me a glass of soymilk sat down and enjoyed my dessert..
i devoured that slice...then 5 minutes later i felt like i couldnt focus...my legs felt heavy and my face had started goin numb..i was like HOLY SHIT..am i having a heartattack...???
all of a sudden i hear my friend the hostess yell out...OHH MY GOD>OH MY GOD>......i walk towards her and tell her i wasnt feeling so good...she was like..HOLY shit jerome ..YOU JUST ATE HELLA WEED!!!!!!!...daaaaaamn..everyone started laughing when told her i thought i was having a heart attack...and all it was was that i was getting stoned..LOL...
I had forgotten my buddy is an avid user of the marijuana..
so i told my girlie i was stoned as shit.we ate and drank just a lil bit more.."CAUSE I GOT HUNGRY AGAIN" ...we said our goodnights...she took my car keys and drove us home...
and here i am still blazed hoping that i come down from it soon..i have an early meeting tomorrow and would hate to be late..
