Who had the loveliest weekend ever?
I did!
Friday: I stayed a little late at work to get muh hurr did. It's darker than usual, but it'll fade out in like a week. Nothing stays in blonde hair, especially red. Anyway, I got home around 8, then Dan and I decided (for financial reasons as well as sheer laziness) to stay in. I emailed luna to apologize for being lame, and promptly changed into my jammies. We spent the evening hanging pictures and gettin' high. Later, Krrn came over and it was more of the same.
Saturday: Slept in until the Cable Guy arrived. Once everything was installed, we programmed our DVR and vegged out for a couple of hours. Showered, got purdy, and chatted a bit with Miss Twwly, who had arrived in NY that afternoon. Met up with Krrn again, and headed over to Fulton Mall to spend the shit out of a Macy's gift certificate - all on make up of course. We spent a long while at the counter, and I walked away with eleven new eyeshadows and an enthusiastic job offer. I told them I'd come back after the wedding, HAHA. When we got back to the apartment, we scooped up Lawsy Von Studypants and made our way to Taro for sushi on the cheap. Picked up a bottle of Stoli on the way home, and enjoyed some vodka tonics over conversation.
Sunday: Woke up to my alarm at 10a, jumped in the shower and made myself presentable. We were 10 minutes late meeting Twwly and ymonster for brunch, but they forgave us...I think. We talked aboot Canada over some eggs florentine, then Krrn, ymonster, Twwly and I headed over to the shop while Dan went back to the apartment to stick his head in a law book again. The afternoon was spent at Last Rites, entertaining Twwly and lending support to Krrn as she got her first tattoo. The highlight of the afternoon was definitely creating a cute little empire waist strapless shirt out of dental paper and fastening it securely to Twwly's torso with surgical tape. Who knew I had fashion designing talent?!
Anyway, I got drowsy around 5:30 and said goodbye to my Canadian partner in crime and the hardworking ymonster and made my way home. I made organic wild salmon burgers with steamed asparagus and red beans and rice for dinner, did some laundry, scoured EBay for some eyeshadow on the cheap, then hit the sack. Got some good cuddle time in with the fianc, to boot.
And so here it is, Monday, and I'm feelin' good. I did go a little crazy with the debit card this weekend, so I have to live on canned soup and yogurt all week, but I think it was worth it. I haven't had a fun weekend like that in a long time.
Tonight, it's back to the usual - get home from work, bust my ass in spinning class, max and relax at home. Tomorrow, boxing. Wednesday, boxing. Thursday, spinning. Friday, WILD CARD!
