....they WORKED!
The plaintiff settled, and after all is said and done, the defendants (Dan and I) owe NOTHING. Good fucking riddance, you smarmy douchebags.
When I got home from work last night, I. Was. EXHAUSTED. I finished up the laundry, and soon after decided to skip the gym. This is never an easy decision, mind you. It usually involves a lot of panicking and pouting and hemming an hawing, but it generally is resolved by Dan telling me to get a fucking grip. I guess he's right. I mean, it's only one day, right? *tweak*
Our friend Rachel arrived safe and sound last night, hooray. We were already blazed by the time she got there (around 10) but she had taken a valium and knocked back a martini or two on the plane, so we were about even. I baked her a sweet italian sausage pizza and we watched a bunch of bad TV, then we hit the sack around 1am. I hope the cats didn't keep her up all night.
In other news, my fianc is the greatest person ever to bless my life with his prescence. He never hesitates to go all out to help me with anything I need. He's gonna make a DAMN FINE LAWYER one of these days.
