I have never been more proud NOT to be American ever in my life. And that's sad.

I never thought it would actually happen. I held my head high yesterday, thinking for CERTAIN that the country was going to use it's collective brain and bring a fresh start to the government in this country. The way I saw it, no matter what your opinions were, it came down to this:

Either we continue down the road we're on, or we try a different route.

And it looks like the majority of the USA thinks we're on the right track. This is democracy in action, people. I am mortified that ANYONE could make such a decision, but it is what it is. Four more years.

All of a sudden my dream of making a life in New York is not looking so hot. Home (Canada) is looking mighty fine right about now. Maybe Dan will be marrying ME for citizenship.
