OOohh, what a holiday!
I got back last night from San Francisco. It was a great time - Dan came with me and THANK GOD for that, because my family was in rare form.
Santa was good to me this year - I got a bunch of gift certificates (mostly for the Gap, but hey - I need work clothes, too), The Looney Tunes Golden Collection, and an iPod...to name a few! Dan also got me THIS kickass book. I think I did pretty darn well for myself, no?
On the last night of our trip, we went out for drinks on Broadway at a place called Sake Lab. It was awesome, and we guzzled a bunch of exotic drinks made by Shanti, our bartender with whom we became friends. He is a tattoo artist and used to live in NYC, so we had great conversations about ink and the city. He hooked us up and we were on our merry way to the sex shops along the strip. We went into a few and browsed around, finally finding some inexpensive porn for our viewing pleasure. We were planning on heading back to our hotel, but the Burlesque-y Strip clubs that surrounded us changed our minds and we made our way past the red velvet curtains into The Hungry I. Not long after that, we were getting a lap dance from a lovely young lady named Alabama.
Needless to say, we had a BLAST in San Fran. We're probably going to head back early in the year to visit my Aunt and Uncle.....and possibly pay a visit to some old haunts.
In other news, I've managed to put on quite a few pounds over the past two weeks, much to my chagrin.
I hope to have that situation remedied as soon as possible.
