I finally got my nape pierced this weekend and I love it!! They even managed to materialize the exact kind of jewelry I had wanted for it too... Black metallic discs. Such an easy piercing compared to the others I've had. It won't quite have the fun factor of the others, but for my first visible-in-daily-life piercing I couldn't be more happy.

That's fantastic! I've been thinking about getting one myself. Everyone keeps speculating on the discomfort factor though, so completely happy that you posted a blog about this. miao!! What does the healing process look like?

I have nothing but good things to say about this piercing. I was on antibiotics when I got pierced for like 5 days for a nasty spider bite that the doc was afraid would get infected. It never did, and my piercing seemed to heal incredibly fast. It really hasn't even felt like it needed a healing period at all, like it's always been there!

@Kismi - Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check her out. I have the art that I want and what I'm thinking it'll cost to get started, so your timing is perfect. I'll be sure and put pics up for the nape and any ink I get done as soon as I can get my camera put back together.
