Is it wrong that I think it's funny that yesterday was considered by people to BOTH be Pi(e) Day and Man's Valentines (Steak and BJ Day)?
ANYWAY... I had a dream where I was cast in this show. It was a really great musical, and my part was originally supposed to be a guy, but they cast me in it anyway. So opening night, I'm waiting at my entrance and the tech director tells me that the trap door won't open I have to enter from the wings, so I run around. I know I'm going to be late to my entrance cue, but I assume my scene partner will wait for me. I get to the wings - and I've JUST made it. Right as I'm about to step on stage from my new location, I actually hear the scene start - a new guy is doing my part. The tech director runs into me and stops me from storming the stage in an attempt to take back my part. He leads me out and tells me he's sorry, but it's too late, just let them finish the show. So I go out on the set loading dock and have a good cry. At the end of the show I storm up to the director and I'm basically told that I'm not a good actor, plus it was a male part anyway, and sometimes this happens in the real world so I shouldn't be offended.
I work up so angry and frustrated! Stupid dream!
*sigh* But I do have a lot of real life work ahead of me today - see ya...
