The end of 9 pics I took of my workshop today for middle and high schoolers (I actually took 10, but one accidentally got deleted in my purse on the travels home to put them in my computer
It's so sad because it was BEAUTIFUL!).
First we played a game of Bingo to find out things about each other (i.e. B - I like the beach, I - I like ice cream, N - I'm noisy, G - I grew an inch last year, and O - I like to oversleep - yes, cheesy I know but who cares? I had to kill an hour and get the kids to hug each other to make a taco!).
Then we played "Taco" where the kids had to build a taco out of each other and scream taco from the roof of our building when they were done making their person tacos.
Then we did some paperwork/discussion.
Finally, they had a Project Runway worthy fashion show where they had to make togas with safety pins and table cloths inspired by different decades the 20's, 60's, 70's, 80's and finally a modern interpretation.
I also let them text on their cell phones and I was told I was the coolest person they know. Hilarious.
So most of my day aside from my workshop was spent ushering around 200 kids and teachers around the theatre. I'm pooped. I'm taking tomorrow off. Right after I finish this case of diet coke. Some people smoke, some drink, but under stress I drink a million liters of diet coke. Bad for me I know, but I needed to stay awake somehow!
