i went a bit crazy this morning. i went to Barnes & Noble to get one, maybe two books and ended up on what could kindly be called a spree.

i don't go too crazy with shoes. and lately i haven't been buying many clothes or much makeup. but books ( ).......i love the way they feel and smell (i especially enjoy the library smell- it's one of the scent memories that really makes me calm). i love reading, escaping for a little while into someone else's mind and adventures. with books, i really can't help myself.

lately, Barnes & Noble has been making it very difficult for me with their beautiful leatherbound editions. i want all of them, even the ones i already have in paperback. they're so lovely, and i keep imagining how wonderful they would look sitting together on my bookshelf. *sigh* i even want the ones that i know i'm never going to read. that's how crazed these things are making me.

and when i walked into the store today and saw that they had new ones, and that the new ones included the masterpiece, i had to get it....



i also bought all three novels in the Mayfair Witches Series by Anne Rice,

The Lost World


and Congo


those should keep me happy until the new Charlaine Harris book comes out next week (which, by the way, i am ridiculously excited about

i'm gonna go get crackin'.....those books won't read themselves
