Hey guys, it's been a long time since I posted a blog huh? Missed me?
If I could choose any fictional character to be my real-life sidekick it would definitely by Wolverine from X-men. First of all: OMG I HAVE HAD A CRUSH ON THIS CHARACTER THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE X-MEN MOVIES! Keep in mind that I was probably 7 back then. So, as you can tell, we go way back.
Wolverine is typical of the many tough antiheroes that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam war; his willingness to use deadly force and his brooding nature became standard characteristics for antiheroes by the end of the 1980s. As a result, the character became a fan favourite of the increasingly popular X-Men franchise, and has been featured in his own solo comic book series since 1988.
Wolverine, or Hugh Jackman has this wild attractiveness about him. The character has such an intense storyline. I am not going to go in depth on all the details of it. But basically he has super healing abilities, and is able to grow claws out of his hands. An evil doctor wanted to coat his skeleton in adematium (a super strong kind of metal) and turn him into a super soldier. He was given false memories, and forgot about his past life.
Eventually he ends up with the X-men team, where he met Jean, another super powerful mutant. They became entangled in a difficult love story, since Jean was already seeing someone else. Okay, I’m not gonna spoil anymore of the story, you will have to see it yourself, because it’s amazing!
Moral of the story, Wolverine is hot as fuck and is so sweet but also deadly at the same time. When he cares about you, he would do anything for you, even kill you if it was really necessary. He would be the ultimate sidekick because of the way he is.
