A work of pure genius...
You know it is tough when you perform a masterful stroke of genius at work and you have nobody to share it with because fundamentally nobody around you really understands what it is that you do all day long. I need a club of messaging architects I can sit around with and shoot the breeze and share my successes with dammit!
Yesterday was a major step in what has been a nine month project to remake the messaging system at CorVel. I basically performed open heart surgery on this system yesterday. I was preparing for it for months and testing for months. Yesterday we moved hundreds of servers and probably 30 applicaitons to a new messaging root. There were some bumps but for the most part nobody noticed and business continued as usual.
It was truly a master stroke and I was quite proud and happy that it went so well. There is still more to do but we are finally on the downhill slope of this project.
Still shooting for end of year/Jan for a finishing timeframe.
