Goodbye Grandmother 1925 - 2007
Tonight my grandmother Braun passed away. She had been battling uterine cancer for about two years now. They were a good and solid two years with little reduction in her ability to live her life and share it with her family. She will be greatly and sorely missed.
She still had all her wits about her, and mobility and was able to take care of herself living in her own home. She died with two of her daughters there by her side. It was a good death as good as any of us could hope for and she led a great and wonderful life full of family, travel, success and love.
I loved her dearly. Her home was a refuge from the storm of my childhood. That is the last of my grandparents. Sigh... life moves on.

I have one remaining grandparent, who I see only infrequently. I'm thinking perhaps I should give her a call this weekend.
