You know...I absolutely LOVE blogging here about all the cool stuff that's going on with school and my blossoming radio career. It feels so good to be moving in a forward direction. I am so excited and passionate about this business and I want nothing more out of life than to be successful at it.
My show this week went great and I got a ton of positive feedback once again. I'm getting more and more requests in every week and my confidence is growing as well. I have so much fun doing it too. My internship for Nytes Realm Radio is going better than expected. Right now I work for a show called The Clubzone every Tuesday night from 7pm to 10pm eastern time. It's the best in Techno/House/Dance music and I have a lot of fun. It's great to hear my promos liners play on the station and it's a lot of fun to interact with everyone in the chat room during the show. Well...I have some news. I've been asked to not only produce ALL of the liners for the ENTIRE STATION...but I will also be CO-HOSTING MY OWN SHOW every Saturday night starting in 2 weeks!!!! We meet this week to work out the specifics. I am beyond excited to do this as it's fantastic experience. I need your help though. This isn't just an internship, it has the opportunity to be a paying gig for me. What I need is for everyone to help me spread the word and tune into the station. Once we reach so many regular listeners, I'll get paid for this. Please...help me with this!!!
Also...my sweet, beautiful girlfriend has been put in charge of the website and the promotions for the station!! It's a direct result of all the hard work she's done to help promote my shows and I am so proud of her. She really deserves this!!
Lastly, my internship at ESPN 850 WKNR is going fantastic. I just helped book my first guest today. I've been logging a lot of hours doing a lot of different things at the station and it's more fun than I could have imagined. I get to work the Cleveland Gladiators first game on Monday. And...I've been accepted in the fraternity .Myself and one other intern (my good friend TJ) were invited to a private screening of the movie Semi-Pro with a bunch of the station employees. That was a feel good. Better than any perk I could ever receive. It was great to be able to hang out with everybody and really feel like a part of the team, not just a lowly intern.
