Hey all,

Well weekend as very non-eventful.....Friday night out with the boys
and girls... drinking, laughing and generally dis-liking american
foreign policy smile

asked myself a little philosophical question on Sunday though.....
stoned of course, so haven't had time to disprove it or vice versa yet
or even if it relevant to anything or anyone smile

Q. Are you the Sum of all your collective actions and thoughts of your
life and if so, are your experiences, actions and thoughts that make
you who you are structures and can these structures be torn down and
rebuilt..... in effect creating a wholly different person......?

and I think this also poses another question to the second part.....
Why would you bother to tear down experiences.......

yours in reality.... we think
bxx

P.S. Im not really up with the proper channels of reply to people....
sorry lozzy... smile

aaronsrod:
hey dude as a matter of protocol and etiquette, when you answer a post in your journal do so in the journal of the person who posted it.
Anyway we live and learn, I made the same mistake, I look forward to your response. have a great week

Yes we are the sum total of our sensory input, but it is how we process that info that makes us who we are. Because we have free will we can in theory reprocess our experiences and change the way we think and act or react as the case may be, to different situations, it's just that most people don't.
From my observations anyway, it's true that a leopard can't change his spots but it is bound by instinct however we have the power to reason so we also have the power to make a conscious change in our behavior.
I don't know that you could ever tear down your experiences as you put it, I do think you could reprocess an experience and learn to react to it differently next time or even change your view on it as it exists for you now.
