How has Suicide Girls influenced my life?
This certainly has, and a lot. I remember a long time ago, when I started getting involved with the Internet world, sometimes I found pictures of girls with a rare aesthetic in my area, tattooed, piercings and colored hair. They were drawing my attention to me and made me think if I could ever look like that. Where I grew up all the girls my age were "similar," I mean, they all dressed the same or had a very simple aesthetic and when I was dressed differently, I felt a little uncomfortable.
In 2013, I found out that the girls in those photos I liked so much, were on a web and this place, Suicide Girls. Then I decided to send my application to join as a model, I had studied photography and I was doing it professionally. I talked to a friend to help me with the session since there weren't many girls in the SG community in my country or I just didn't know them. A while later I decided to send my first set.
Following this, I started to discover all the world behind the web, I met a lot of wonderful girls, I traveled, I photographed and I've been on both sides of the camera, organized and participating in many Shootfests, and I've made very good friends.
Today you could say that I have a new way of looking at life and how to relate to people, of course for the better. I've managed to get rid of complexes and see everything with a lot more natural (like what we really are), because I've been meeting girls of all kinds every day and with different tastes and personalities through SG.
The best conclusion I could get: don't stop doing what you like and what makes you feel good. Don't let closed minds cut your wings.
