So here's a little back story. I want to be a lead at work so I can make some extra money, plus we really need a few more since one just left leaving four leads to cover three shifts a day during the spring break and summer seasons.
Skip to today, near the end of my shift.
My lead (the main lead in my area) came up to me while I was working unload (at Roger Rabbit) and the coversation went like this:
Lead: I heard you want to be a trainer.
Me: No I want to be a lead.
Lead:I heard you want to be a trainer.
Me: No, I want to be a lead.
Lead: We can't have another Chris, so you gotta be a trainer first.
Me: Okay I'll be a trainer for a week then be a lead.
Lead: Okay we need to talk later.
This was after one of the guys that has been there a little longer than I have told me that he loves working with me and he's going to tell management that. And about 30 minutes to an hour after that one of the new hires tells me that I should be a trainer and she's going to tell management too!
So I don't really want to be a trainer becaues of the schedule they have when they're training (being at work at 5:30 and working on my perfered day off). But whatever it's still more money and it helps me on my way to lead, plus it'll look really good on a resume.
It is a little surpsing too though cause I'm on the trouble maker list that the managers have. I'm good with the guest but I let managers and leads know if I have a problem with things. I'm not affraid to let them know what's on my mind.
All my managers are driving me nuts at the moment, so I'm not sure how this is all going to work. But if it ends up with me making more money then so be it $
$
so, whats the set idea?
have fun, darling.
