Uurgh--I'm a bit hungover today. Yet I can't seem to sleep in. I am really going to try to go back to bed after this.

So we finished our weekly production meeting at about 5:02pm yesterday, and then me and my friend Evan walked right out of our studio and went to the bar that is about twenty yards away. Just in time for happy hour. So after a few pints, Evan proclaims that he has finally had it with his crappy cell phone and he is getting a new one. Well, boys will be boys, and so we invented a new game called cellular baseball. Back at the studio we stood on the edge of the loading dock trying to hit his phone across the parking lot with a 3 foot long piece of aluminum pipe.
The phone held together surprisingly well given that we were beating the crap out of it. The flip-top screen part was the first to go, but the battery lasted at least a dozen good hits.

So after that little entertainment we went back to bar for a whiskey. That prompted me to call Liz, the trapeze artist, and her girlfriend Rami, just to see what they were up to. Turns out that they are both heading out to catch a band that they know from nyc that is town. So we meet up with the gals and the band is actually really good---they are called "the Fame", and they are unabashedly influenced by the likes of Benatar, Cheap Trick etc..
Some dude was roaming around giving out free Zippo lighters as part of some promo. We couldn't hear what he was saying at first, and we tried to order beers from him, but we finally figured out what he was doing with a little sign language. So we both got free lighters, um, yeah..

So anyway--kind of an uneventfull journal really--but that little bit of brain activity just helped to clear my head some. Maybe now I can go back to bed.
