ok i didn't go ....it was supposed to get nasty and i didn't want to worry my girls. well it got nasty....we are in the middle of a full blown ice storm. for now we still have power but it's been going off and on for a while now, just waiting for it to go out and stay out. i hope the weather is better...

i need a break.....so i'm going hunting. it's going to be cold and maybe wet but i don't care....i need some outside time. fyi - i was disabled after working for the tele co for 23 years. most of that time outside. so i get cabin fever real easy. have a good weekend and i'll be back sun or mon or tues.

ok the weekend sucked.....back pain did me in. didn't do much.

ok, the smoked turkey came out great, tender, so moist, with a hint of hickory, still have leftovers. also, i made a chocolate cheesecake - yummy. no plans yet for the weekend - may take my bride to see a movie.

nontraditional holiday dinner-steak and potatos, salad and dinner rolls. i forgot the gravy but we didn't miss it.
i am going to smoke a turkey tomarrow and have leftovers the rest of the week. i really want to make some chili and/or a cake. oh well.....i got some great responses on my last blog - they cheered me up thanks..

ok in a couple of days i'm going to go deer hunting. that means no computer for a couple of weeks. hopefully, it will mean a successful hunt, processing meat, bbq, beer, & poker playing. i can't wait to spend some time with the guys in my family. now i got to get a list of what to take together so i don't forget anything....

ok - the weekend's here.......my plans got cancelled so it's beer and bbq. also going to have to spend time with bride and daughter - oh well......sat - smoking a brisket, sunday - grillin' some steaks (ribeye), beer and football. hope you all have a good one. cya
