fudge. i hate it when i reply as expected.

#6 is a bit of a conundrum, no? If every evil act was answered by 5 good ones, wouldn't it then behoove a good man to commit evil?

i didn't say that every evil act was answered by 5 good ones. i said one person doing evil can have the impact of five people doing good.

because evil is a very powerful force.

that does no't create a logical imperative that because evil is powerful, you must engage in it.

but then again, if The Lord of The Rings is really amongst your favorite books, I would think this is not new to you.

liante:
You are indeed supposed to tag new people! ...but like Subrosa, I'm game for blathering on about myself, but not so much for passing on chain-letter gimmicks to other people. So I'm skipping that part, and not finishing my list is as good an excuse as any. wink

Who invented Pixie Stix, and how did they come to exist? I have a hypothesis:

One day, a bunch of people decided to start a candy company. They bought some factory space and ordered a whole lot of sugary ingredients. They got to the factory, set the ingredients out on the table, and started brainstorming about the different kinds of candies they could make with...

Oh jeebus. I thought this was my mom until I came over and saw the "member since" date. Thank god for false alarms. tongue

I'll have you know I did study earlier! So there!

How could it not be fun!

It's okay, I probably wouldn't have time to visit all the places if you could recommend any. I'm only going to have part of one day free. So we'll just pretend that you did and that I saw them and they were duly amazing. Yay!

Why is the phrase "be quiet" considered more polite than "shut up?" It doesn't make any sense. They're both commands telling someone to cease and desist all talking activities immediately. I mean, I can understand someone taking offense to "silence fool," since they're being called a name in addition to being told not to speak. Now there's something to get your knickers in a twist...

And I shoulda been gone.

It's apparently the week of neverending obnoxious songs stuck in my head.

A co-worker and I decided we should write a movie about our workplace. It's way funnier than that place in Office Space. We've had a tech set himself on fire doing a hardware swap, mute-button tirades, (including one where the guy hit speaker instead of mute. pure genius)...

I have the intro song from "Skate or Die" on the Commodore 64 stuck in my head. Why? I have no idea, but that's not making it go away. I used to love that game back in the day. I remember playing it for hours on end, trying to beat my score on the half pipe. I remember getting to the point where I could...

I never once used the word "gringo" before this calendar year, and now I find myself self-applying it regularly. I guess that's what hanging out with a bunch of latinos will do to you.

*abrupt subject change*

Set up audio and recording at my buddy John's party this past weekend. Audio sounded great, but I think the recording got screwed up. It would seem that...

I typed up a long fake story about a dream but then deleted it because it wasn't funny.

I don't actually remember my dreams for more than a few seconds after I wake up most of the time. The last dream I had that I actually remembered was in 2003. How do I remember the year, you ask? Because the dream was about a specific...

nah, i meant repertoire with the second definition:

repertoire ( P ) Pronunciation Key (rpr-twr)
n.
1. The stock of songs, plays, operas, readings, or other pieces that a player or company is prepared to perform.
2. The class of compositions in a genre: has excellent command of the chanteuse repertoire.
3. The range or number of skills, aptitudes, or special accomplishments of a particular person or group.

as in, the person requesting friendship and i have thoroughly explored the compositions of the "suicidegirls friend" genre. compositions such as showing sympathy, trading jokes, and commenting on the hotness of other SG's through the traded journal comments method.

I saw a PSA the other day that told me "In America, a woman is raped every 8 minutes."

It must suck to be that woman.

Actually, that PSA and the thought of mine that followed it both happened around 10 years ago. It's funny how memories like that just pop up out of nowhere. What the hell causes that? That thought has been stashed...

Thinking about getting fucked up tonight, but I've got to be up early in the morning. My brothers and I are headed to Columbus, OH for the USA vs. Mexico World Cup Qualifying soccer match, and then heading up to Cedar Point for the day Sunday.

I have a feeling I'll be miserable over the weekend if I have too much fun tonight, but having...
