While I acknowledge that an entire group of people devoted to the hate of other people because of who their parents are isn't going to be a group of the best and brightest - I have a question about the KKK.

Which one of them decided it was a good idea to burn crosses on people's lawns as a vehicle for their hate? I mean, they claim to be Christians, right? Isn't the cross a holy symbol of Christianity? What good could burning it possibly accomplish in the minds of these people? I've never heard of another group of hate-mongers who actually burn their own holy symbol to send a message of hate.

Can you imagine waking up with a burning Buddha statue on your lawn? What would your reaction be? I imagine it would either be laughter or puzzlement, wondering who exactly hates Buddhists enough to burn a Buddha statue on someone's lawn.

I can't even come up with a chain of logic that would lead to a bunch of Christians thinking it would be a good idea to burn a cross on someone's lawn. No matter how hard I think on it, at some point, the logic has to completely twist in on itself so violently that it leads me to laughter.

I guess when you mix idiots with hate, you can't expect anything sensible to come of it.

i think the purpose of the cross burning was simply to bring fear to the people targeted by the hate... its more of a symbol of the hate to come.. if that makes sence.. and no it makes no sence coming froma group that called themselves christians... but does anything they have done make sence? oh.. and... i dont think most christians would consider that a christian act... every religion has its extremists.. unfortunatly.. anyway ya.. sorry for ranting lol..
