Somebody told me tonight that I'm "terribly funny."

I'm not quite sure how to interpret that.

If I was an egotist, I may interpret as meaning I'm very funny,

If I was a Milquetoast, I'd probably think it meant I was terrible at being funny.

If I was a sadist, I'd believe that my terrible nature was funny.

If I was empathic, I'd think that I was funny, but in a terrible or disturbing way.

I, however am none of these things. I am by nature introspective, so I just sit here and wonder what the hell she meant.

Up until tonight, I believed I was often terrible and occasionally funny, but never terribly funny.
