Florida Vacation - Day 11
So, today was a half lazy/half do stuff day.
We started the day by lounging around the pool for a few hours. My sister had been saying since before we left that she wanted to go on a "Bungee Ball of Death". For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's basically this 2 seater ride that shots you about 400 ft up and then you just kinda bounce around for a bit until they bring you down. I said I'd go and was kind of interested to see what it's like, but I was getting kinda nervous everytime it was brought up. So, I told myself to just relax and it would be over soon and I'd be mad with myself if I didn't do it. Anyway, we went in the afternoon and I got real nervous as I was getting strapped in, but once we were shot up, it was pretty great. I got a really great view of the skyline and cuz I couldn't look straight down, I wasn't worried about the height or anything. We were actually told we could go up again for another $10 each, so that's just what we did. :]
On our way back to the hotel to get ready for tonight, we stopped at a really big McD's with all kinds of gourmet food and stuff. Once we were back at the hotel, everyone took turns taking showers and getting ready. Once were got to the Polynesian Resort, we had to wait a bit for my aunt, uncle, cousin and his gf to show up. Once we were seated, the wait staff just started bringing out a bunch of sides and various BBQ meats, so we were well fed tonight. lol. While we were eating though, we could see the firework display going on at The Magic Kingdom. They were also playing the accompanying soundtrack throughout the restaurant. And I'll be honest, I was getting some major goosebumps and got slightly emotional. I feel a little sad that we won't be getting to Disney during this vacation, but there's always next time. And I can't wait til I eventually get to bring my kids there one day. :]
It's supposed to rain tomorrow in the afternoon, so we're gonna go to Universal just to finish up the portion of Studios that we didn't get to see and then go back to whatever rides we liked before the weather gets too bad. I can totally see myself just sitting around at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and taking it all in before we have to head home.
