Florida Vacation - Day 7
Another fun day in Florida.
We went to Universal again, but this time we checked out the 2nd half of the Islands of Adventure portion of the park. We started in Marvel Super Hero Island. My dad, sister and I immediately lined up for the Incredible Hulk Coaster. It was pretty good. Instead of slowly climbing up the hill, you're shot up and are instantly doing corkscrews and loops and all that. Lacey and I went on Storm Force Accelatron, but I would consider it a poor man's Disney World Tea Cups. I then had my pic taken with Rogue and Storm from X-Men and we made our way over to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. It was kind of like the 3D shows at Wonderland too and, I'll admit, I watched the whole thing, but I didn't wear my 3D glasses for most of it. lol. We checked up a few stores afterward and then I had my pic taken with Spider-Man and, not too long after, Wolverine, Captain America and Cyclops.
From there, we moved in to Toon Lagoon, but since it's mainly a kid oriented area, we didn't go on rides or anything. There was a woman dressed up as Betty Boop, so I took a pic with her. We headed over to the Jurassic Park section after that. The only ride we would've been able to go on was the River Adventure, but that meant getting wet and it was a little too cool for that today, so we just walked through, had some lunch and checked out a few shops.
The next section that we crossed into was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I wanted to pick up a Gryffindor scarf and see if I could sit through the whole Forbidden Journey without hiding my eyes. Well, I lasted up until the dragon was right in our faces, blowing fire and then I hid my eyes again. I caught a glimpse of a couple spiders, but I was actually able to watch the Whomping Willow beat us around. I hid them again for the dementors, but was then able to watch the rest.
Next, we went on to The Lost Continent cuz my mom wanted to this Sindbad Stunt Show. It was alright, but a lot like the Raiders of the Lost Ark show at Disney. After that, we decided to make our way out so that we'd beat the rush. On the way out though, I went into a shop near the front and found a few Harry Potter shirts that we like 25% off, so I picked one up even though it's an XL and I take M.
We popped into a Bob Evans for dinner and just went back to the hotel. And Jersey Shore just finished downloading, so I'll be watching that after I post this and all my pix. :]
Tomorrow is supposed to be 20 and sunny, so it'll be another pool day for us. I think I'll be wearing sunblock this time though. hehe. Later all.
