Florida Vacation - Day 4
It seems like it's just one thing after another with this vacation.
We all slept in a bit today cuz we didn't have to wake up early to get on the road. We just spent the morning lazily getting ready and didn't get out the door til about noon. We were all thoroughly hungry, so we drove along the strip to see what was available. The first place we stopped was a Golden Corral. My mom went in to check it out and came back out to tell us to come in. We were greeted by this girl behind a counter who took our drink order and had us pay. When we went inside the dining area, we saw that it was a pretty decent buffet. The had a nice salad bar with like 3 types of salads and then a few various dressing and condiments for the salads, a soup area, fresh veggies, a bunch of different types of meat and a really nice dessert bar. I know I ate more than I should have, but it kept me so full that I didn't eat again til about 10:30 at night. lol
The rest of the day was spent shopping. We went to a Super Target to get some food stuffs and hangers and whatever else we though we'd need while we were down here. I picked up a few DVDs and a book. On the way back to the hotel, my dad had to stop at some shop for something and it had a liquor store right by it, so I went in to buy some Four Loko. (For those of you who don't know what that is, look it up.
) It was getting pretty dark by the time we got back to the hotel, but it was still kind of mid afternooin. We found out why soon enough; there was a definite thunderstorm coming with a tornado warning in effect. It just got progressively darker and started to rain. Within several minutes, it was pouring. And then slowly the lightning show started. I didn't get to see much of it cuz my mom was over reacting and wanted everyone safe in the hotel room. My dad ended up falling asleep and the rest of us just sat around, watching the weather channel. It ended up calming down to a light shower when my dad woke up at about 9. At which point, him, my sister and I went out to a Wal-Mart so he could pick up a couple more things. I got some batteries (for my book light) and travel size Static Guard. We stopped at a 7 Eleven on the way home and I picked up 3 other flavours of Four Loko and then we grabbed a snack at a McD's.
I was kinda wanting to go to the exercise room tonight, but I did a fair amount of walking today, didn't eat too much and I'll certainly be doing a lot of walking tomorrow cuz we're heading to Universal Studios. Finally gonna be going to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Excited! There's also a bunch of pretty good rides there from what I've seen. We have a 7 day ticket, so I'm sure we'll be making good use of that cuz none of us have been to Universal before.
Anyway, I'm gonna make sure my camera and cell phone are properly charged and then off to bed. Catch you all later. :]
