Florida Vancation - Day 2
I don't recall asking for today to be really eventful, but it was, none the less. I'll get to that in a minute though.
My parents and I got up around 6:30-ish and went down to the lobby for breakfast. Lacey stayed in bed for as long as possible and then we pretty much just packed up and didn't end up leaving til like about 10.
So, after we got on the highway, I was just listening to music and dozing, but not actually sleeping. Next thing I know, I feel this strong vibration and slight shove from outside of the car. I open my eyes and my dad was pulling over to the side of the road and a guy in a Penske moving van was pulling over behind us. We all get out of the car, except for me cuz my door wouldn't open, so I climbed out my sister's side of the car and I see why I had trouble getting out. The guy in the van was changing lanes and didn't see us, hit us and tore up part of the door. My dad said that if him and the other driver hadn't seen each other at the last second, we could have possibly ended up in the ditch. Anyway, we had to exchange info with the other driver and then called the cops to file a report for the insurance company. We had to wait a while, but it could have been a lot longer. We also needed duct tape to fix up the car a bit. So, it's a bit drafty and loud, but still driveable.
Anyway, after that, not much else happened. Just a lot of driving, a few bathroom breaks, and, as always, my sister being a perfect little angel; abiding all laws and not talking back to anyone.
Sorry this entry isn't too long. I'm pretty tired and nothing all that exciting happened after the accident. I have pix posted, so everyone can check them out. Hopefully nothing too exciting happens tomorrow.
