well after a horrible night last night and a shitty day... its nice to know i can spend a little time on the computer and end up with a smile or a good laugh

i got home and guess whos on. brad. that was good. we talked till it was midnight for him.. but only like 4pm for me.

but then here i am just hangin out on CS postin in the forums and chattin wiht my friends and i catch this on the new threads list

gave me a good laugh.

im off for now though. have a little work to do

screw you snow i hate you

okay a friend of mine who's still in HS had this assignment and we were tlaking aobut it. so i looked at it and i thought, ya know that;d be kinda cool to answer these questions. so here they are

i know its long.... im sorry... but its REALLY into who I am.

1. My family doesn't have many traditions that I would want to explore. I can only think of one that is not things that many other people also do. Every Thursday my family goes out to dinner together. My grandma started it many years ago. I don't remember how long ago. She said we needed to keep the family close when my grandparents and my mother and I were living around Rochester and the rest of my family was here in Bremen. Even after my grandma passed away we continued this tradition because everyone felt it was nice to be able to get together. Since it started more and more of the family has started coming weekly. I feel that it's a very good thing to do, it keeps the family close unlike many families that are not very close.

2. I like my part of the country because it seems more laid back. Living in the country around a some what large city its a nice way to live. You are able to have your freedom and space out in the country, yet you can go into the city and have many types of entertainment. Living in a town, you have the entertainment but you don't have the freedom that you do in the country.

3. I would love to spend more time in Chicago getting to know the city more. I took my little cousin to the Museum of Science and Industry and I would love to go back. I have looked into colleges in Chicago and I hope to go visit them over the summer. I could spend a few days at a hotel and visit the colleges and explore the city.

4. I can't really think of any special effect that makes me wonder how they did it in a movie or tv show but it does interest me. I love to see the effects you can make with fake things. Many effects now are done on the computer and I love to learn about how exactly they make these effects and do some of them that aren't too in depth.

5. I don't have one exact famous person that I admire. I admire all those whom have had the guts to stand up for what they believe in and not just sit back and adapt to what happens. Having the guts to stand up for what you believe in and do something about it is a quality I greatly admire.

6. If I had to give up all but one modern invention, I would keep the computer. With computers today, you can do all the things that a television, stereo, phone, and so many other electronics do. I would have to have my computer. I do all of my graphic design on a computer and that is my art: my art is my life. So I would have the hardest time giving up a computer because I wouldnt have the tools to do my art, my life.

7. I would like to understand tornados. They just seem interesting. I have not seen very many. I only remember a couple in my life time. One I remember being very young and I was with my grandparents. I always was interested by tornados since I was young. My old house in Talma sat along a river and on the bank, when I was young, I would go down and dig and I would find old things from when the Psalm Sunday tornados went through.

8. Subjects that interest my three closest friends would probably include the war, music, and art. Most of my friends are very much like me. We have a strong connection through our art. Music means a lot in our lives also. Music is my way to escape from the pressures of the world and I have friends who are more involved in music than I am. Many of my friends are in the military so the war concerns them.

9. I would have to say that Kevin has the most interesting job out of all of the people I know. He is in the army and works very hard at that. He is going to be a sergeant soon and is working hard for that promotion. But on the side he does a lot of graphic design stuff. He is designing many things for his friends band and I am very proud of how much he accomplishes.

10. If I was to start a new business I would start a small graphic design company. I love to do graphic design work and if I was to start a new business it would have to be something I love. I would design anything from CD covers to company logos. I work on Photoshop learning new graphic design skills all the time.

11. The American culture interests me the most. Although I am an American myself, there is so much to our culture. So many different cultures mix together to make America. There is so much to learn about American culture that one American cannot know all there is to know

12. In my science class I was most interested by the marine biology. I would love to explore it more. The ocean has so much in it to learn about and so many creatures that have to even be discovered yet.

13. My favorite book I have read this year was Blood Canticle by Anne Rice. I love Rice's vampire series. The whole vampire culture that she portrays in her books holds my interest. I could read her books all day long. I also have started reading Stephen King's The Dark Tower Series. It has held my interest for the most part and I defiantly want to read more. I have only made it through the second book in a seven book series. I cannot wait to read more of it.

14. In all the current events right now, the one I would like to know more about is the war. I have many friends who are in the military and I try to keep up with what is happening over seas and make sure my friends are alright. I look at military.com often in my free time to keep up on what is happening.

15. I would like to know more about the middle east. I have friends who have been in the military and served over there and said they loved the area. I love to hear what they have to say about it and see all the pictures they take. I have seen some very gorgeous pictures of the area.

16. I don't watch TV so I don't know of any shows that would have interesting or informative subjects.

17. I have learned a lot about what has been going on over seas through news sources. I try to keep up with what is happening over in Iraq and other places our troops are stationed.

18. A recent natural disaster I would like to understand is the tsunami. Research what caused it and how far it reached and the devastation it left.

19. People in the news today that interest me are political powers and military personnel. I often read about what is going on with the president and our military.

20. I haven't seen any recent movies, so I wouldn't know any that deal with subjects that interest me. I am not a big movie or TV person. I'd much rather spend time reading the news or curl up with a good book. Many movies are so predictable and they get boring. Movies also have became very stupid. Many movies don't deal with the subjects they should. The U.S. population is amused by violence and drugs and things that should not be our entertainment.
