the next few days at work are going to be slower paced than normal. i am sort of in-between projects although i may get called to help finish up some graphics for this proposal that goes out on tuesday. other than that, im just going to catch up on a few loose ends.

i am in the incredibly fortunate position of being pretty damn valuable to the company for which i work. so that gives me a great deal of freedom which i try not to abuse. the operative word here is try. but damn it sometimes i cant help it.

like today. i was just too damn lazy to get rolling at the normal time. so i strolled in at 11 this morning instead of the usual 10. its alll good. i get my work done. and as much as i hate my job, i am grateful for the fact that i can get away with some of the shit that i do.

i've been focusing more and more on what it will take in the next few months to prepare myself to move back out on my own. the steady paycheck is so nice but it means shit if you arent fulfilling your life's ambition. i mean think about it, 5 days of the week are spent making someone else money. how fucked up is that?

i just want to have a balance. no rush hour traffic. no dress code. no office politics. just opportunities to work in a creative and rewarding environment doing something i love with people i love. call me a dreamer. call me crazy. just dont call me late for supper. (thank you. please remember to tip your wait staff)

the way i see it, i was blessed with my skills and talents for a reason. and that reason has nothing to do with a drab gray cubicle shut off from natrual lighting in some office bulding. you know?
