i am watching an amazing documentary called
The Weather Underground about a revolutionary organization that carried out several bombings in the 60s and 70s to protest american foreign and domestic policy towards people of color. more than anything else it shows the lengths to which people will go to stand up for what they believe is right.
this is shit you won't learn in school. its a powerful film and educational piece. nothing is ever an issue of black and white. often, things are far more complex for CNN headline news to cover in the crawl at the bottom f the screen.
