I don't really see a reason for religion. If you look at all the hardships religion has caused in history, it is is quite interesting. At this point I won't get into specific examples because I hope anyone reading this is intelligent enough to think of examples themselves.

All my life I have gone back and forth on religion. Of coarse when I was younger pre-14 I believed in the christian God and Jesus. But from the time I was 15 to 19 I really went back and forth between several beliefs; there is an undefined power or energy that is God; the Bible is correct; there is no God. From 19 to 20 I did not think about it at all, I really didn't think I would live past 23 at the rate I was going.

Now that I am almost 28 I believe that there is no God or Jesus. Maybe historically Jesus was real but he was just a mortal man that was turned into a mythical figure. I think long ago people learned that they could control man by force feeding him ( how cults do it) rules and saying that if you do not follow them the afterlife will be really bad.

At this point I am tired of typing and I am sure you are done reading by now, but ask yourself, does it really make sense that some being is watching everyone one at the same time and houses our souls when we die.
