So this girl got all pissed at the C she got on her paper in class this morning. She wouldn't stop talking about it and being all sarcastic to the professor. It was really uncomfortable. He flat out told her that she could address this during his office hours which are immediately...
(*screams* OH FUCK! a spider just crawled over my hand).
...after class etc, etc...so lecture commences but all through she kept making nasty snide remarks under her breath. It was so annoying. I happen to pay for school, I like going for the most part, I show up on time, and I don't...hold on.
*smashes spider* Don't be mad. What if it's a Brown Recluse?
Back to the story...I don't get a pissed and act like a spoiled rotten child when I do poor quality work. She showed me her paper. It was poor. I think she deserved the C she got. First of all she turned it in 2 days late, it was not in the binder he asked for it to be in, there was no cover page, the paragraph spacing was like triple or something, and margins had been brought in. All of that made it three pages. In reality it was probably closer to 2-2 1/2. He specified it to be 4-5 pages. Not long, in all very easy. The professor told her that one thing she needed to do was to better define all of the words she was using in her paper, and she was like, "what do you mean I need to define the words I'm using in my paper? I'm in college, I wrote the paper." Then he said "define narcissistic, it's in your paper." She couldn't. His point was made. I almost laughed. But she wouldn't just drop it and she told the professor to define narcissistic. Then she pointed at me and said, "did you tell her to define words?" Good thing I hadn't laughed. He got mad and told her to drop it or leave class and they would talk about it privately. She stayed in class but talked shit under her breath the whole time. Why do I get the pleasure of sitting next to this? I just want to go to class and be done.
For the record, I actually opened up my paper with a definition. And I will now, for everyone's benefit, define narcissism.

Like the earthquake that just happened in Iran...Or to sub-saharan Africa and do sex education or work with infants and children that have been orphaned by AIDS. Why did I get the privilege of being born into an affluent society, where nobody gives a shit about the world and the people suffering in it? Like it's too much trouble to get up from in front of the TV and learn about what's going on.
And here I sit in front of my computer...
