What I learned this week at work
As many of you know (the whole 4 readers of my blog) 1/3 of our plant has moved to Mexico and production has been very slow. As a result production has had Friday off for the past 4 weeks.
Now this sucks for my team because I have to go to work and there is nothing to do all. No production means, no product for quality (me) to inspect. So I decided to use my work time to do some research.
Being the nerd that I am, I have a plethora of useless information, and I know of an herbal alcoholic drink called Absinthe which has euphoric effects which, in the past was used by intellectuals to enhance creativity and artistic expression.
Well Im thinking HEY Im an intellectual, I could use help with my creativity and artistic expression, I want some Well here is the trick I have always been told that Absinthe is illegal in the US. Well this is where being a nerd that loves doing research comes in handy.
Is Absinthe legal?
In the United States, Absinthe is not a controlled substance but its sale in bars and liquor stores is banned. Also, the production of Absinthe in the USA is still not allowed. It is however legal to possess Absinthe in the United States for personal consumption.
Now I know all my readers are very smart so they have already caught the loophole.
Not a controlled substance, legal to possess. AKA: you can order it from another country and have it delivered to you.
Needless to say I got a bottle or two on the way
