Mood: ‘All Day Music’ by War
Question #5. A book or book series that you love.

Well, perhaps one can guess from the caricatures above, but there have been several series i have read in my over 50 years: ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy; the original James Bond books by Ian Fleming; any number of Clive Cussler’s series; Patricia Keneally’s Arthurian series; Robert E. Howard’s Conan, John Carter or Solomon Kane series; Juliet E. McKenna’s Einarinn series; Robert Jordan’s ‘Wheel of Time’ series…
Oh, there are many others, too, but Arthur Conan Doyle’s hated creation of the world’s first Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes has remained my most favored and favorite series of stories and books for the last 40 years, at least!
As a sort of homage to those who have portrayed The Detective on-screen, big and small, I have the picture above, but it might be fun, sometime, to reflect on which one came closest to a true portrayal and who sucked.
