Moods: ‘Creation’ by Audiomachine

‘Blame It On The Boogie” by The Jacksons

Moods?

A few ‘moods’ this time ‘round; the first should be obvious because of the blog title, but is also one of the music groups I listen to while writing or thinking about writing. The Jacksons are there and a ‘mood’ because I have been boogying with my revisions! Amongst the revising done so far has been a change in font size to a smaller one. This has reduced the number of pages, of course, but I simply prefer the font size; if the font is too large it just makes it seems as if one if padding their page count to me.

Creativity Again??

Well, yeah! The creative muse, for me, is always there, and though I’ve mentioned it before, my brand of it is the ‘Back Burner’ kind. By that, I mean that when a writing block or being unsure how to get what I need to across in the right words I step away. It rankles that I am not writing, at times, but it always seems to be worth it as my mind will work it through eventually, sometimes in that ‘well, that was simple and right there in front of you’ to an amazing epiphany of sudden insight.

Ol’ Al got that right (wright? 😁) with me, at any rate, or at least I kinda see it as my brain having fun while I go about my job and other daily Life. But, hey; it works for me!

Music and Words, Words and Music

For as long as I can remember music has played a large part in my life. Sure, we all have ‘our decade’ when the pop music of the day was THE time to be alive, right? But I go further into soundtracks of movies, such as ‘Logan’s Run’ and ‘The Great Race’ and ‘The Pink Panther’ as well as, of course, ‘Star Wars’. I can remember where I was and what I was feeling and even events surrounding going to see such films. Still further, any such soundtrack-style music and even Classical music appeals to my imagination and I have, for all intents and purposes, been using music to give an emotional sound to any writing, be it rpg-related to a feeling for a years’ production of a RenFaire and then on into my present writing project andit will, no doubt, continue on!

I hope to be as good at writing emotions in words as many music composers are at putting together the notes to craft the emotion in their pieces! It’s a different medium and yet I am certain the creative process is essentially the same.

What emotion does this evoke?

This?

Or this?

If you’ve taken the time to listen, you understand my meaning, especially if you ignored the titles, closed your eyes and let the music take you where it would.

Variance

As we can see here on this site, there is so much creativity, so many outlets for it! Each photo set has it’s own theme and flavor, if you will, some more than others but each showcasing the model and photographer’s creativity. Some of the model’s livestreams showcase even deeper creativities in crafting and cosplay and so on. The style of everyone’s blogs also show that creativity, some being serialized zombie stories, some being simply ‘how I am doing’ or ‘update’. So many varied outlets of that wonderful creativity!

I must now go and get ready for the coming work week, but felt the need to lose a little of my own creativity here before doing so.

Be well and better, all!

@wolfwood1203 I absolutely agree! In fact that last piece in the post was instrumental (pun actually not intended!) in crafting a major and difficult part of my book! I pretty much have trailer style music playing whenever I am writing.

I agree.  I used to have an instructor that regularly told us that if we couldn't solve a problem, to walk away.  Do something else.  Live life.  And when you come back, the problem will have magically solved itself.
