Man, I suck at this "internet community" thing. Ah well, time for my monthly update.
My trip to Vancouver was tons o' fun. I got to meet and hang out with some incredibly nice people, scope out the city a bit, and of course there was the NIfuckin'N concert. That was probably the biggest concert that I've ever attended. It was pretty neat to be squished-up next to my sweetheart while a writhing mass of humanity pushes against me from all sides. I always thought that I had agoraphobia, but I managed not to freak out and I really enjoyed the show. Queens of the Stone Age were quite bad ass as well.
I'd like to go back next year and see more of the city; two and a half days just isn't enough. I did see enough homelessness to last a life time, though. And crazies. And junkies. And crazy homeless junkies. Kinda depressing, you just don't see that on the frozen praries.
And since I did't buy a damned thing while on my trip I justified blowing $90 on Ninja Gaiden Black and Battlestar Galactica Season 1. Go consumerism!
Oh, and Serenity is the best fucking movie that I've seen in a long while. Go see it, and buy the Firefly dvds while you're at it.
