Man o man..,this weekend found a new receipe for misery.I had outpatient knee surgery on Friday,was sent home with painkillers and orders to rest all weekend.All was fine until Saturday when
my friends came around to go out.Ostensibly to go to a BBQ.Well needless to say alcohol was present at said event- and I had to have some.Courtesy,you know?Well didnt stop at one,then we went to a really cool authentic Irish pub,the bar itself was taken from a pub in Dublin and flown to states.Had about 6-7 Harp,then when everyone was all well and drunk someone suggested we go see a death metal band..his friend bounces there,we can get in for free,etc..none of really lsiten to death metal but went anyhow.
I really admired the band because they play with such precision,like a well-oiled machine,but the vocals are -well,different.I also noticed that the girls at the show were all good looking but jumped into the mosh pit with the guys
and weren't afraid to get roughed up.I guess that's an equal opportunity scene.
Maintaining feminine wiles while moshing to death metal is impressive indeed.
Anyhow,got drunk,crashed on friends couch,got 3 hours of sleep..I guess the recipe for misery is knee surgery+vicodin+harp+ ear splitting death metal.
