Since Fugazi and Rocket From the Crypt haven't toured in a couple of years, I have to move the award for best band to Mastodon. They killed last night. They were louder and faster than I'd ever seen them before. The show was insanely intense. They opened up with Hearts Alive and when they reached Crusher Destroyer and Blood and Thunder the place blew the roof off. They finished off their set with The Bit by the Melvins, which was great and they finished off their encore with Emerald by Thin Lizzy. If you missed it, you kinda suck, but don't worry they were filming it to be released on dvd.

Now I'm looking forward to the Unsane show on Wed. I don't think it will come close to comparing to last nights show, but they'll still be good.

I'm gonna need a jackhammer to get this smile off my face.
The show was crazy good and probably 1000 X greater than NIN or Built To Spill. Sorry you suckers missed it.

Even if I didn't see girl last night (where were you?) it was still a great night?
