So, cute redhead from work and me actually talked some on Thur. and Friday and I wasn't a complete spazz. Still don't know if she's interested, my 'mole' has not hyped me to her lately.
Currently trying to listen to some new cds to review for the zine. Apollo Up from Nashville is one of them and it is really good. Very Wrens meets early (Grippe, Novelty era) Jawbox. The other two are on Psychotica Records from Italy. Lillayell and Edible Woman are the bands, both have terrible artwork on the covers, but the music isnt' half bad. Lillayell is kinda alterna-jazz with a mix of a less angsty Shellac and Edible Woman is very mid 90s DC sounding.
I also found out I'll be interviewing The Beautiful Mistake when they play the Cotton Club on Apr. 25th. The singer, Josh, is a super great guy, as is the rest of the band, so I'm looking forward to haning with those guys again. It's been too long since I last saw them and the only reason it's been so long is that the Cotton Club opened the doors an hour early on their last show here and I ended up missing them and most of Elliot's set.
Apt. hunting today was productive, found a super sweet house in East Atlanta that is in the right price range. Now I just hope we can work something out so that we can move in. 3br, 2bath, deck on the back, nice backyard and a driveway that will hold 3 cars easily.
Chappelle's show marathon in 45 minutes. Gotta run and grab some brew and food.
Light a match, for I deserve to burn.
