I'm watching the documentary/making of footage on the Fellowship of the Ring tonight. The level of detail they put into the preproduction of that film is not commensurate with the basic demands of modern filmmaking.
It seems silly, I guess, for me to put as much effort into everything I do professionally considering that I work for shitty companies and semi-retarded business owners; but really, all that matters to me is that I try to break new ground with every project I take on. Maybe this meticulous love will seem less out of place when I start working on my own comics and stories.

They should declare a national holiday whenever one of aiden's sets go up. They should stop this six hour nonsense and just put up a couple sets by a reasonable number of girls that are actually interesting and different looking. This site is gradually becoming very fucking bland. This is glaringly apparent when a set by aiden or quinne comes up. There have been some cute sets here and there lately, but they tend to run into one another, nothing stands out.

I like my girlfriend a lot. If you misinterpreted my feelings from my last entry then bugger off, contentment is a good thing, it means you don't want anything more. I was really upset yesterday and the night before and she showed a very warm kindness to me that I have greatly appreciated. I wish I was going to bed next to her tonight, but tomorrow will have to do.

Inspired, I drew a really interesting monster tonight. I have not created a monster in almost 5 years. You could not possibly understand how good this makes me feel.

I have a pivotal interview in South Boston in 10 hours with the head of a major design firm. I'm not interviewing for a job; she's a friend of one of my business mentors and she's going to give me some advice and possibly some contacts for better job leads. If it doesn't go well, I'm going back to the sign industry (but to a different company).
