Training update...
So, unphased by my defeat at the hands of the jump rope two days ago, I entered the gym today, prepared to give it hell. And I did... sorta. I definitely did better than last time, proving once again, that I can do almost anything an eight-year-old girl can do, reasonably well. I shouldn't get too excited, i think during Friday's class we gotta do double-dutch
!!!
My second battle, against the low-hanging ceiling, did not go as well as planned. The first time, I ducked and walked under it, but not fifteen seconds later, I saw something shiny on the other side of the room and walked right the fuck into it. I swear, I hit it hard enough that I really considered crying, right there in front of everyone, just sitting down and having a cry... but, then my pride took over and I decided that if any of them were gonna see my cry, they'd have to earn it by beating the shit out of me...
which, should not be too difficult, as my age-old habit of blocking punches with my forehead and kicks with my chin has followed me from Pennsylvania.

In other news, none other than plaingurl (finch) herself has turned pink.
Now, this brings a very important task to light here. If I look at my favorites list and see three beautiful girls that I have woken up next to (minds out of the gutter, finch let me sleep in her bed because she has air-conditioning, Granny was my fake-girlfriend supreme and Palo is... well, keep your mind out of the gutter anyway...), anyway, if I look at my list and see these girls I'm gonna start thinking I am even more awesome in relation to the legendary awesome that they possess, so you may just want to bookmark the "jackass" thread to remind me of who I am, really.
And, because she is not feeling too hot and I can't go fix it, here are the top ten things I like about Palo...
01 she smells like candy
02 her voice is quiet and pretty
03 she is stubborn
04 that time she showed me the darkroom at BU
05 she has H.I.M. mp3's on her laptop
06 she fed me tacos
07 how sunshine looks on her skin
08 she lets me draw her
09 she quoted shakespeare the other day (i shit you not)
10 the way her eyes kept finding mine the night we met

Y'know, Sleater-Kinney's new album is really different. New label. New producer. Way different sound. And good. You should check it out if you haven't already.
