dear city of boston,
is there a good reason that every time i go to a really wild and crazy, energy-exploding-off-the-stage show...
that i have to START the dancing?
i mean, seriously, were you really going to stand there with your hands folded in front of your chest the whole time? meanwhile, eddie is up on stage screaming until he is red-faced and jake and jay are playing so well that you expect to see strings rising from their fingers, into the heavens, because they were suddenly puppets controlled by the guitar gods?
were you really going to just... stand there?
it's ok if you have bodily contact with other people. it really is. and its ok if you sweat, or scream, or look silly in front of a bunch of strangers you will never, ever see again. it really is, it's ok.
don't worry about it.
i mean, don't take this the wrong way, i love you, you are still a great city and i am the happiest i have ever been since i am living here. i mean, you're not all bad, when i heard the first notes of "Electric Suits and Cowboy Boots" and i started screaming and pogoing and fell through the front of the crowd who parted like soft strands of hair and i landed on the stage and i was screaming and then you all pushed me back and some people started dance with me and pants and then it was kinda ok for those last two songs,
but really, it just makes me a little sad inside to wonder,
would you have just stood there if i hadn't been at the show?
love,
jordan.

Is this the first time you had to instigate, or has it recurred to where you need to call their non-dancin selves out?
