so, everybody on earth turned up for the SGBoston gathering at Pizzeria Uno's in celebration of subrosa's cross-continental jaunt from san francisco. he's a swell guy. gave me a cd and everything...

so, let's see, i can't remember much of anything, i sat at the side of the table with everyone i know, so there wasn't much new to report, although i did meet aegiswings and he is pretty friendly. oh, and i met palo and i am ever-so-slightly jealous of the awesome shade of green that was coating her nails. she also had something interesting going on on her eyes, some kind of blue/yellow mascara-ish thing... pretty cool, i dunno, it think it's totally lame that no one taught me anything about make-up and its application just cuz i'm a boy. i feel so limited. all i really know how to do is put on nail polish and smear on eyeliner (and i only really got good at that this year).

i got to dance again for the first time since i sprained my ankle about four or five weeks ago. i learned a valuable lesson from this experience: not being able to dance sucks.

in other news:

I WANT TO GO TO A REAL PUNK ROCK SHOW SO FUCKING BAD I CAN'T THINK STRAIGHT!!! seriously, i have not been to a rough, loud, raucous screamy show since Lars & The Bastards in fucking December! and i haven't been to a show that made me think that life was really and truly worth living since The Pants and i saw the Adicts around thanksgiving time. man, that was an awesome fucking show...

so where are all the fucking punk bands? did they all trade in their bondage pants to cash-in on the garage rock/indie train? man, o man, i really wish The Virus were still in their prime and had their second lead singer, seeing that band was like a riot set to guitars.

boston has the lamest fucking punk bands. Darkbuster are unimpressive. the Dropkick Murphy's just flat-out suck. the Ducky Boys are pretty standard.

meanwhile, The Profits and The Kings of Nuthin' haven't played shows in ages! and The Independents aren't stopping in Boston on their current tour. what's a boy to do?

Boston needs more punk bands, because
