WARNING : HALF-ASSED UPDATE AHEAD
just got back from goth club halloween night, washed all of the make-up off. i am quite impressed with myself that i was able to throw a recognizable ULTIMATE WARRIOR (the World Wrestling Federation superstar, duh) costume together in about two hours. not too bad, considering that the costume was really nothing more than face paint, a wig, some felt, ribbons, and a speedo.
TheFullNelson my partner in crime, went as World Championship Wrestling star STING. Despite being a really great duo, we lost the costume contest to some guy dressed as Jack Skellington. Now, I'm not bitter, but I'm gonna have to say, goths are soooo predictable.
it was pretty fun seeing who at the club was a closet 80's WWF fan, lots of guys came up to me and told me the costume was awesome. haha. at least some "goth" kids enjoy ridiculousness. haha.
i do not look as bad in a speedo as i expected (please note, this does not mean i looked good).
TheFullNelson remarked that it would be great if Madichon were here to see it. oh well, there will be pictures posted at some point i am sure.
i have work in a few hours, which i think is lame, so i guess i'm gonna clean-up the mess i made from the costume, watch the rest of SUPERSIZE ME and get some sleep.
oh, and you should all go and see I <3 HUCKABEES because it is fucking hysterical. man, such a smart, classy funny ridiculous movie. i mean, lily tomlin AND dustin hoffman! c'mon, now thats good stuff.oh, and marky-mark is in it too!
i took some notes on my graphic novel last night. i have been working on the story since i was about 19 or 20. its shaped and evolved itself quite strangely over time, but i feel it will be a very powerful story when all is said and done... i'm not going anywhere with that really, i just like that i had some ideas and worked on it.
if anybody here wants to pay all of my bills for the next few months and give me some time to finish a second and third draft on the script and illustrate it, i would think you are cool. it will be awesome, revolutionary even.. no, not revolutionary, but, i think i have some small talent for using my words and pictures to make people feel things about life and about themselves, and i think it will do that.
i just want to make people happy and make the world a better place.
and also to draw monsters.
and also to kiss a girl whose name rhymes with Odette.
