aliens v.s. predator tonight. can any of you even conceive of how excited i am about this? i just saw that it was rated PG so that was, of course, a bit off-putting, but, we'll see, maybe it'll still be two hours of mayhem and horrifying extra-terrestrial carnage. luckily i found someone who was interested in going with me, i was afraid i was gonna have to fly solo on this one.

i stumbled upon this amazing letter earlier today written by martha stewart to the judge who is sentencing her and i thought it was a very interesting thing to read. imagine the kind of pressure to sit down and write a letter to the jude who is sentencing you. i'm pretty obsessed with the idea of writing letters that are concise and powerful and expressive. being able to move people with your particular arrangement of words is a very humbling thing.
