Just got back from seeing Night of the Living Dead on a big screen at a special showing as part of the Boston Underground Film Festival. George A. Romero himself was there to introduce the film, but it was kinda lame. It was really cool of him to be there, but the monkey's who were running everything had the show running one and a half hours behind... and then, when he finally got to introduce the film, his microphone was at half-volume and they had music playing in the background... a totally disrespectful way to treat a man who's done so much to shape the course of modern horror.

Without Night of the Living Dead, Last House on the Left/ The Hills Have Eyes, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre modern horror as we know it (and all of the great films of the 70's and 80's) would not exist... and they played fucking music over his introduction.

Somedays you just want to punch people, y'know?

But, seeing the film on a big screen was amazing, I never realized how beautifully shot, gory, full of tension, and ahead of its time it was until tonight.

cool. I will have to check that out. Im gonna bookmark it and check it when I get up later.
Another band that follows VERY closely in the Dwarves style is Zeke. You should check them out.
You may like em.
Also, the Dwarves are still around if you didn't know..

Speaking of ants....
I was walking down the road by my house earlier and I saw the biggest ant hill I have ever seen. It was like a foot high and several feet wide. I might have to take a pic of it later.

Ugh.
Im tired. Sorry for any rambling.

Take care.
